In my job as the Assistant Professor of Composition (Emerging Media and Digital Arts) at the Glenn Korff School of Music, I am very interested in nurturing the creative beast within each of my students, with a focus on incorporating new and emerging technologies into their works. As a part of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts Digital Arts Initiative (DAI), I also teach classes in learning how to use recording software such as Logic Pro X. Pictured above is the technology lab in Richards Hall 17.
Music and non-music majors at UNL who are interested in music and technology can sign up for the Music Technology Minor program. Information about it can be found at arts.unl.edu/music/music-technology-minor
I am also very involved with the Jazz Studies Program, which offers Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in jazz performance and composition. Information about Jazz Studies at UNL can be found at arts.unl.edu/music/jazz-studies
